Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo

One of the most famous bridges in Japan, rainbow Bridge has great views, is very easy and takes you right to numerous attractions at Odaiba island, a very popular tourist spot in Tokyo.
Beautiful, especially at night.
Always appeared in Japanese romantic movies as well as mega popular Japanese police drama/comedy series "Bayside Shakedown".
Not just an attraction for travellers,as I see, this is a popular/favouite spot for movie fans and local young lovers. Scene changed in foggy days...Very windy in the winter time. Best time to visit is May/June.


If you want a walk that won`t tire you out, and on which you can take some great shots with your camera, this one is highly recommended.

After visiting rainbow bridge, i had japanese steak for dinner and headed back to my capsule hotel in Tokyo to rest my tired feet :)

Try shark burger at Ogasawara Island~!

The nature of the Ogasawara Islands is what attracts so many people to visit the islands every year

The sea has beautiful shades of blue and it is possible to swim with dolphins, watch whales, and dive in coral reefs. Surfing is also popular here. There aren’t as much waves compared to popular surfing destinations around the world, but when the typhoon season comes, many surfers rush out to the sea You can also take walks or a bike to points around the islands that will show you breathtaking views of island and sunsets.

The buildings of the main town are clustered along the shore at the foot of mountains covered in low trees and shrubs — too tropical to be mistaken for anything on Japan’s main island. With souvenir shops, galleries, hotels, restaurants, bars and traditional izakaya (Japanese pubs) lining the well-paved roads, it feels almost like a small resort. There are plenty of accommodations, from cheap dorms (such as Guesthouse Morionoya, ¥2,800/night) to the sumptuous (Hotel Horizon, ¥32,500).

There are many other ways to experience the specialness of this place and i decided to try one of those famous ogasawara coffee and shark burgers on my way to viewpoint on top of small mountain in this beautiful island.

The shark burger is a popular choice at the Heart Rock Cafe. while you are at it, you can also buy souvenir like bracelet or necklace made from the teeth of sharks caught near islands.

Later on that day i stopped by traditional japanese pub/restaurant to try some of their favorite foods along with japanese beer :)

lunch break at Ogasawara Island~

The Ogasawara Islands is the general term for 30 islands of various size scattered over the Pacific Ocean. Located to the south of the Izu Islands, about 1000 km directly south of the rest of Tokyo, Japan.

The islands were formed by the protrusions of an ancient underwater volcano, so flatlands are rare and there are many sheer cliffs along the coast. Since the climate is oceanic and subtropical, there is little change in temperature, and the area hardly ever receives snow or frost.

Swimming with dolphins at Marcus Island ,japan

Minami-tori Island, Japanese Minami-tori-shima, also known as Marcus Island - namesake of Captain Marcus Chaplin, coral atoll rising to 204 feet (62 m), in the central Pacific Ocean, 700 miles (1,125 km) southeast of Japan.
The Japanese meaning of the name is “Southern Bird Island”.
It is 1.2 kms in area. It is the easternmost territory belonging to Japan.
Prior to World War II it was administered as part of the Tokyo fu (urban prefecture). Occupied by U.S. troops late in the war, it was returned to Japan in 1968.
It now shares a common administration with the Bonin Islands and the Volcano Islands which all belonging to the Ogasawara Archipelago.
Since the Ogasawara Islands have always been remote, never being adjacent to a continent since they were formed, animals and plants have evolved in their own way there

Wild dolphins and Whales inhabit around Ogasawara islands.
All year around Bottle nosed dolphins and Spinner dolphins are seen here.
Hump backed whales are in Winter (from Novemver to April).
Sperm whales are inhabit about 10 more km south east area from Chishi-jima all year around.
Under good condition of the sea, you can swim with wild beautiful dolphins.
