This watch probably should not fit as travel gadget category because it is just way too expensive and hard to find for most of travelers out there but as a owner of standard j12 marine watch, i find this watch so appealing and it is diving watch after all.
Famous French fashion house Chanel released J12 marine diving watch on 2010 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their J12 collections.
Famous French fashion house Chanel released J12 marine diving watch on 2010 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their J12 collections.
Chanel redesigns classic J12 marine diving watch for 2011 ONLY WATCH auction event, adding 18kt rose gold and sapphire crystal.
Taking design cues from a slew of legendary horological inspirations, the watch is a fully functional diver, equipped with Swiss automatic movement and capable of delving up to 300 meters before succumbing to the pressure of the deep.
Much like everything else Chanel does, this ONLY WATCH design is truly luxurious.
But unlike the standard j12 marine watch that this watch is based on , in which there are three styles and two sizes, the ONLY WATCH J12 Marine gold Watch design is much less practical for the deep sea
The main difference is the addition of 18-carat gold on its case, bezel, dial, crown and clasp. All added up, this timepiece has 81.62 grams of pink gold.
It has a dial of the standard J12 design, but this time with pink gold luminous hands.
The combination of diving features and pure luxury is once again found on the crown that is also golden, with a high-tech ceramic cabochon and a crown protector.
It's ironic that timepiece so luxurious such as this is only powered by a mere self-winding mechanical Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement with 42 hours of power reserve.
It's cheapst ETA movement on the market.
The true beauty of this piece, however, is its luxurious styling, not movement.
Somehow I doubt you’d use it much for diving.
